Support for Low Mood and Depression

Low mood and depression can affect so much more than just how you feel emotionally. It can impact your energy, motivation, confidence, relationships, sleep, concentration, and ability to enjoy things that used to feel easy or meaningful.

For some people, it can feel like sadness or heaviness. For others, it might look more like feeling flat, disconnected, irritable, exhausted, numb, or stuck in a cycle of self-criticism and withdrawal.

Sometimes there’s a clear reason for it. Other times, it can feel confusing and hard to explain.

You don't have to carry it on your own.

When you’re struggling with low mood, even small things can start to feel overwhelming. Therapy can be a space to slow things down, feel supported, and better understand what’s been contributing to how you’ve been feeling.

There’s no expectations to. We can work together, at a pace that feels manageable for you.

How can we help?

At the feel good project, we can support you by:

  • Making sense of what’s been contributing to your low mood

  • Understanding patterns of withdrawal, self-criticism, or emotional shutdown

  • Building coping strategies to manage difficult emotions

  • Reconnecting with routines, relationships, and activities that support wellbeing

  • Developing self-compassion and emotional awareness

  • Working through feelings of hopelessness, overwhelm, or feeling “stuck”

When things have started feeling heavier.

If you’ve noticed yourself feeling emotionally drained, disconnected, stuck, unmotivated, hopeless, or unlike yourself lately, therapy can help you begin to reconnect with yourself and the things that matter to you.

Together, we can explore the emotional, behavioural, and life patterns that may be impacting your wellbeing and work towards building healthier ways of coping and responding.
